Board Meetings

The Kings Manor Board of Directors meets the third Thursday of each month except December. Regular monthly meetings begin at 6:30 pm in the Club House and include an opportunity for residents to address the board.  At the annual meeting, held the first Tuesday of March, all residents or their proxies are urged to attend; this meeting begins at 7 pm in the Club House.  Ten percent of all homeowners must attend or send proxies to hold the annual election of board members; the board then selects its slate of officers.

The Kings Manor Homeowners' Association is comprised of all owners in Kings Manor. The Board of Trustees is composed of five of your neighbors who are elected and serve three year terms of office. They are not paid, volunteering their time and talents to make the subdivision the best possible place to live and raise families. They, like you, are residents and have a vested interest in the subdivision and try to make the best decisions for the community as a whole. There are other volunteers options available to residents who would like to play an active part in the subdivision, such as the architectural review, landscaping, pool, parks and law enforcement committees. The HOA provides its residents with services through their annual assessments which as of 2014 is $400/year. Services provided include:
  • security patrol: Kings Manor contracts with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department for security services. These officers also use the office at the club house as their headquarters while working, providing them with a place to do reports while enabling them to be a visible deterrent to crime in the neighborhood.  They may be contacted on our "Contact Us" page with questions, comments and concern.
  • garbage service: Kings Manor contracts with Waste Management for twice weekly garbage collection. The cost is included in your Kings Manor MUD water/sewer bill. If you see trash on the streets following pickup on trash days, please call Waste Management and voice a complaint. Any trash on the streets eventually ends up in our storm sewers and causes environmental problems. Please clean up the mess --- we know it's not your responsibility --- and make the call to the WM offices at 800-553-1902.
  • pest control when needed; mosquito spraying is done weekly from April through October.
  • street lights: even though the lights do not belong to any particular property owner, take "ownership" of those on your street. If you see a light out, consider your safety and that of your neighbors and contact Entergy at 1-800-968-8243 or visit their webpage to report the outage online. Be prepared to provide the subdivision name, the pole number and the nearest address. It may take a few days to get a response but they will come out and check, making necessary repairs.
  • a quarterly newsletter: Suspended
  • In addition, a Facebook page, Friends of Kings Manor (available on the home page), was set up which allows residents to visit with neighbors.  This page IS NOT an official publication or associated with the Board of Directors in any way.   Another site, Nextdoor Kings Manor, is a social website that allows subdivisions to communicate among themselves, sharing activities and concerns. 
  • recreation areas: a park at the club house provides playground area, basketball court and kiddie and adult pools while also providing seating and picnic table. A smaller pocket park is located at the intersection of Whispering Forest and Kings Manor S and provides a shaded area to play or sit.
